KB0029 - Outlook 2010 receives a Script error when clicking on a OnePlaceMail folder

You add a OnePlaceMail folder in Outlook 2010 using “Manage My OnePlace Folders” or the configuration update process. The folder is linked to a SharePoint 2007 Document Library or List and when clicking on this folder in you receive a script error dialog similar to below:

The issue described in this article was resolved in Release 4.3. Please upgrade to the latest release of OnePlaceMail if you are experiencing this issue.

Issue 

Scenario 1:

You add a OnePlaceMail folder in Outlook 2010 using “Manage My OnePlace Folders” or the configuration update process. The folder is linked to a SharePoint 2007 Document Library or List and when clicking on this folder in you receive a script error dialog similar to below:

Scenario 2:

You add a OnePlaceMail folder in Outlook 2010 using “Manage My OnePlace Folders” or the configuration update process. The folder is linked to a SharePoint 2010 Document Library or List and when clicking on this folder in you receive a script error dialog similar to below:

Scenario 3:

You have enabled metatdata navigation on your SharePoint 2010 Document library and you click on the navigation tree in Outlook 2010 and you receive an error similar to the below:

Reason

The issue is caused by RSS feeds being used in Outlook 2010 which changes the behaviour of Javascript when viewing SharePoint sites using the Outlook 2010 web engine.

Solution

Delete all RSS feeds in Outlook 2010 as the screenshots below demonstrate and restart Outlook 2010 and the errors will be gone:
