Solution Profiles

• Define one or more Solution Profiles
• Secure Solution Profiles to one or more Active Directory or SharePoint Groups of users
• Create Category Folders to structure Solution Profiles

Location Item: Shortcut (Solution Profile Item Type)

• Add navigation tree shortcut items to static SharePoint Locations

  • Folders
  • Documents Sets
• Hide /Filter SharePoint locations (sites, libraries, lists) from the navigation tree
• Restrict folders/document sets shown based on SharePoint view filter
• Preferences for save to SharePoint behavior (e.g. automatically check-in multiple documents)

Location Item: Central Register (Solution Profile Item Type)

• Connect to one or more SharePoint List (containing a register of locations) - For example, a register of Projects, register of Legal Matters, register of contracts, etc...
• Filter the set of locations based on predefined Views (CAML query of selected view)
• Filter the set of locations based on custom CAML queries and therefore supporting advanced filtering and selection of items from a central register list to display in the navigation tree
• Descendant Locations provide an efficient means to display a structure of locations relevant to the end-user
